Wuxi Higher Vocational School of Tourism & Commerce, started with great energy, involvement, and competence by Wuxi Education Bureau, is the biggest secondary and higher vocational education base in this city as well as the training base of local tourist and commercial talents. Covering an area of 300 mu, it is the biggest window school of vocational and technical education in Wuxi, with a building area of 142,000 square metres, an investment of 320,000,000 yuan and first class equipment. It has provided more than ten thousand practical talents for high-star hotels , travel agencies, scenic areas, airline companies, businesses and enterprices of materials, financial businesses, securities agencies, etc. It is hailed as the cradle of “service stars” and “the Huangpu Military School” of travel and commercial businesses by the society.
